Steelseries siberia v2 full-size gaming headset newegg

I would not recommend any steel series headsets but i would recommend their other gaming peripherals. Pros: -Extremely comfortable, self adjusting headset allows for long periods of wear with no discomfort.

The detachable extra 2m cord makes it so you can take this with you on trips with your portable devices. I highly recommend to buy this headset. Overall Review: exactly on day both straps holding the head suspension strap snapped off kind of bummed but it still fits my head with out the suspension strap and now it's more comfortable to wear around my neck.

Cons: - They're extremely fragile. I'd consider myself pretty gentle when it comes to my headsets and I've had two pairs of these break on me after a very short time. Both times they broke was because of the metal wires holding the head - The mic isn't the greatest quality.

Becareful when pulling it out of the headset. Overall Review: I've been a user of the Siberias for a very long time. Back when Icemat was its own company. These headphones have always had problems and steelseries has yet to address them.

I most likely won't be using any of the new siberia products til steelseries starts fixing some of the build problems. Overall Review: I bought these expecting nothing but excellence from Steelseries and the microphone broke without reason less then 3 months into them without any excessive wear and tear.

Pros: First off, when I first wore them, it felt like I had nothing on my head. It was very comfy and did not even need to break them in. It comes with an extension cord. Was kinda awkward, without the extension cord, the wiring is too short. With the extension cord, the wiring is too long, but no big deal. Cons: I can't fault the headphones, but the cuffs get kinda stuffy and sweaty after prolong useage or intense gaming.

The fake leather does not allow your ears to breathe. I just hope that sweat and warmth won't cause the fake leather to crack. However, I used fabric cuffs before and they attract dust and lint like a neodonyium magnet does with metals. Pros: This is probably the best headset I have used in a long time. You can wear the headset and forget you have it on at times because of how comfy is.

I bought the Xbox game converter separate on the SteelSeries website and use it to play games on Xbox as well. You can hear everything and it minimizes bass which I prefer. The v1's tended to have a more pronounced midrange and lacked bass and treble.

I think the v2's are balanced well to give you the full range without sounding muffled or feeling like they sacrificed mid's for low and high's or highs and lows for mids. It just sounds right. Mic mute and sound control in the cable is great. Comfort is fantastic, even better than the siberia v1's. Leather cups on the ears are alot nicer than the cloth on the v1. Cons: The end wires near the jacks seem thinner than the siberia v1's. I would have liked thicker cable.

Overall Review: I've owned the siberia v1's, and the turtle beach hpx's. I found the v1's to be great but slightly overpowering in the midrange, and the separate clip on mic was terrible to setup at times.

The hpx's were too tight and really uncomfortable to wear for longer than say 45 minutes or so. Sound quality on them was muffled but decent. Both sets of siberia's have better sound quality imo. No inline mute button on the cord either. Overall out of my 3 headsets the v2's are easily the best. Pros: Let me begin by saying that I'm an extreme metal music reviewer Volumes of Sin for those curious.

I was searching for a while for a pair of headphones that I could utilize both at home for gaming and on the go for reviews; plus, high sound quality is an ABSOLUTE must for review purposes.

Awesome natural sound. Absolutely no static at all. Full stereo as well front and back left and right, plus middle. Full of cushion. Cons: Well it's the one year mark now and today the headset finally went. And guess what? Warranty on these bad boys is only a year. I don't abuse the cord or headset at all, in fact I treated it like solid gold because I rely on this headset heavily.

But I did get a LOT of use out of it. Virtually every day, hours a day. I'm surprised they didn't grow into my skin.

If you're going to be using these strictly at home, I think you'll be fine for longer than a year so long as you don't toss the set around. Overall Review: The 3ft extension cable gave out long before the actual headphones did. Though my dachshund was notorious for stepping on it. Overall, they took general wear and tear for a year of nearly all day use.

But when they go, they go abruptly with no warning. Pros: Headset is very sharp, nice color. Hidden mic is great, don't have to worry about it snapping due to its flexible material. Comes with detachable extensions for its own jacks which are nice if your ports are in front and your machine is close.

Quality sound. Cons: Just nitpicking but the volume and mic mute seem pretty cheaply made, almost out of thin plastic. No light indicator for whether the mic is muted or not. Pros: First review and I have to go with a must buy. These headphones are awesome. Tomorrow will be the day that I have owned them for a year and they still sound great. Break-in period wasn't long and now the bass is great.

Not very over powering, but right in the perfect range. The cord has no wires exposed no wear or tear on it. These headphones have been dropped, pulled ripped out of and pretty much anything else you can think of and still sound great. My version has the clip on mic which doesn't get used much, but from what I have experienced is that it is very clear and the wire management is a life-saver. Cons: Only 1 bad thing is that the ear padding is starting to get a little worn, but considering the use these things got and the fact that it's only a little wear and has enough material to last 18 more months I couldn't take away an egg.

Overall Review: I love these things. I've owned Sennheiser, Steelseries, Razer and Creative headsets and this is by far the best. Pros: For my job i spend the entire day building gaming computers.

I personally bought this headset for World of Warcraft vent purposes. I can hear my guildies without any problems setup was easy and the mic doesnt get in the way. Overall Review: Steelseries makes some amazing headsets, and gaming hardware. I also bought the usb soundcard with this headset for travel purposes. Pros: Sound is perfect. Fits on my head perfectly. Mic works as intended. Cons: The only con I can find is the mute microphone button is a little stubborn at times, didn't think it was worth deducting an egg for however.

Overall Review: I wish I got it at its new price point, I got it when it was None of these are egg-deduction worthy however :P. Pros: Most comfortable headset I've ever put on. Good sound quality Solid build construction. Cons: Only downfall to the headset is that its microphone isn't of amazing quality, doesn't pick up sound as well as I want it to. Overall Review: For those complaining about the headset having no bass, stop. Its a gaming headset you don't want the booming base of that grenade exploding drowning out the footsteps of the guy about to shoot you in the back.
